about packaging what's the difference between box and pallet?

Answer:

i currently have one. in my 2nd month of it i am getting braces next month. it does hurt but it doesnt hurts that bad. it more of a discomfort and it makes ur teeth a little sore. but after a little while after the dentist tells u to stop ur mouth it stops. the problem i have is that i talk funny but i am slowly learing to talk like normal again. there are a few wordsthat are a little hard to say. i have had this twice because my orthodontist screwed my mom and i over so i had to go to a new place. and start from the begining. but it does hurt but not a s bad as u think. ur are most likely going to get use to te pain. thats as best i as i can think of. hope ur expirence it sorta the same or better good luck. (P.S. Have fun slurping, i love to get my mom with it because food get stuck. i would refrain from useing a water fontain because it hits the top and falls out. well if u ever need to talk about ortho. or other stuff just let me know.)
Are you referring to Palatal Expanders? I have a RPE-rapid palatal expander-also known as a butterfly. I've had mine since September and will get it off in January. Mine is at the top of my mouth, and is there to expand my jawline and face..may be different in your situation? Regardless, I have a key (just a simple little wire piece) that is used to tighten the RPE. You feel a mild amount of pressure-about a 2 on your 1-10 scale. The next day your teeth can be a little sensitive and your teeth will start to expand and grow apart-this is normal. It doesn't hurt to get it on at all! The glue is a little nasty, but other than that it is not unpleasant at all! I get my braces on in January so this is braces prep for me too. Did he say how long you have to wear it? If you have any questions feel free to contact me :) good luck!
Braces? No, but for the first week your teeth will be pretty sore because it is not used to the movement. Spacers are a bit uncomfortable, since they separate your teeth, but I wouldn't say they hurt. A pallet expander constantly moves your teeth too, it tightens your braces gradually and moves them where needed. It is also slightly uncomfortable because of the tightening. I've had all of these put into my mouth when I was 10.. I wouldn't say they hurt. The most pain I've gotten were from the soreness of the braces. You don't feel the soreness until after maybe 30 minutes, when you're teeth start to move. Good luck(: Jenna
I had a palet expander for awhile when I was in like 6ht grade. It hurts a lot at first. But your mouth is sore from having it put in and then your mouth is not used to what the palet expander does. But you will get used to it and not feel much pain at all.
to get it on doesn't really hurt, maybe a 4. when i first had it on, it didn't hurt just uncomfortable. i tried to eat that day, and it was terrible, i felt the metal of the palate expander a lot, and it felt uncomfortable swallowing. not trying to scare you though. BUT, i think about a week (maybe two) later....i couldn't feel it AT ALL literally! so dont worry, it'll be uncomfortable at first but then fine. oh wait: i forgot about the turning. someone will probably have to turn the palate expander, with this little key. probably a parent, the orthodontist will show them how. ok, that kinda does hurt, maybe a 6. but i dont think if i remember correctly that had to be done every night.
