whats the difference between a regular 97 lincoln town car transmission and a crown vic police package transmission?is it worth the swap?????
Same basic model of transmission, only difference is in the valve body and the computer programming to give mosre positive shifts and higher rpm for the police transmission (less comfort more agreesive for pursuit driving) the difference however is not that great and to get the benefit you would need to reprogram the PCM to a police calibration.
very likely same trans, it will have a tag number on it, they should match
