Question:

AEM Cold Air Intakes?

AEM COLD AIR INTAKE 98-02 HONDA ACCORD V6 AEM V2 COLD AIR INTAKE 98-02 HONDA ACCORD V6 I wanted to know which is better?.I have a Hona Accord v6 with 139,000 Miles. Is it worth buying an Intake, car runs perfect, installed a new starter recently. The difference in price is about $75-100. The V2 is Titanium. Is it worth spending extra $100 or are the both the same? The regular one is steel (AEM COLD AIR INTAKE) Which Intake will make more noise? I ask this becuase I read the the V2‘s are quiter. Please Help ]Thanks for Your Time ]

Answer:

the v2 is quiter and the v2 is a lot better i have one on my prelude and they work great and they are worth the extra $100 go with it
The detergent properties in Mobil1 are so strong I'll guaranty you'll forget fuching forever.
the short ram intakes do not work all they do is suck in hot air and cicrculate it through your engine no hp difference the v2 intake is waste of money dont get it the cold air intake is the only one that works, since its sucking in cold air from the bottom it acutally does work
I say go with the v2 since i own one myself. I use to have a AEM short ram in my civic but switched to the v2 cold air and felt a little more power out of it and my short ram was louder. Dont worry to much about water getting sucked in because the intake is right behind the bumper and under it should have a plastic part under so its pretty hard to get water sucked up unless you leave the car in a puddle up to your car. If you also want to be on the safe side you can look for a filter guard to go over the filter to cut down the chance of water coming in.
