I have a 2000 pontiac firebird. I want to get an air intake for it and put it in. It has a filter and everything, but does the filter actually prevent water from going in?
Absolutely not and those CAIs are a waste of money. You car comes with a cold air intake on it already. Besides, you have to clean and re-oil the filter. Too much oil or too little oil and they don't work correctly.
it relies upon on the motor vehicle variety. AEM okN and Injen are 3 of the suited although. some human beings will inform you they are all the comparable this isnt actual in case you desire a actual diffrence pass with a acceptance variety employer or you in basic terms get noise and no potential.(besides the fact that that seems to be extra nicely-known at the instant.)
u would b better off with a cone filter and induction kit the cold air intake for them goes from the front valance up to the cone but not directly touching it about a few inches away from it so its directing the air at the filter so no water will enter ur air system i have been running 1 for a few years now with no problems
