I have a 2000 pontiac firebird. I want to get an air intake for it and put it in. It has a filter and everything, but does the filter actually prevent water from going in?

u would b better off with a cone filter and induction kit the cold air intake for them goes from the front valance up to the cone but not directly touching it about a few inches away from it so its directing the air at the filter so no water will enter ur air system i have been running 1 for a few years now with no problems
