Hi My boy have a 4.0L automatic ford ranger and He need me to buy a?Air Intakes to put it on his truck, can anyone can explain what that do to the truck and what the?Difference between the?expensive and the?Cheap one and is this do anything to the gas mileage and what brand the best?Thank you
well kn is prolly best and the difference is small. All it really does is have a bigger filter for more air intake and the tubes will be smooth stainless steel for better faster flow where as the stock will have the ridges in the bend of the tube which restricts flow. This might give him 1 or 2 mpg better. And usually these are put on for performance purposes. And putting this on for that reason wont do anything unless u have an exhaust. All that air comming in but it isnt going out any faster so ur not gaining anything. But this is known to give you 5-7 horses. U wont even noticed it. All it does is look good under the hood. They are kind of a waste of money unless ur gonna go with a good exhaust and headers.
