Question:

Aluminum foil at the back of hardwood floor?

I have just purchased 1000sqft of hardfloor and planning to install it todayWhen i opened the boxes, there are thin aluminum foil sticked on the back of my floor pieces.do i need to peel them off? or just leave them onThanks

Answer:

yes you can, but if you want the skin crispy, omit the foilthigh meat is pretty forgiving; you really have to incinerate it to dry it out.
leave them onthat is there for people who have radiant heat in the floorit helps to distribute the heat more evenly across the floor while protecting the wood.
cover it good with aluminium until it soft .then remove ???????.heat it from up until it become crispy.
