On the computer I can see the difference between gold and brass perfectly fine, but in real life, I cant tell the difference between the color my dad‘s gold wedding ring and these brass or copper bars they have in Arby‘s that people have to walk through. They all appear like this really shiny yellowish brown to me. On the computer, gold is normally this really bright yellow, the color known as ‘goldenrod‘ is most similar to what I see in real life. My dad is a self-employed gold miner so I know full well what pure-gold looks like, but that doesnt appear any different to me than his ring which is probably a gold-silver mix. Is this even possible? I‘ve never heard of anyone being colorblind to only very very specific shades.

well nvr trust the color resolution on a computer screen, and there is no one color of gold, pure gold and a gold on a peice of jewelry are always slightly different, and being colorblind can affect this even more, i wouldnt worry about figuring out shades of gold, im colorblind and certain shades of green i wont mix up with red and vice versa, although being colorblind can be genetically explained its not exact science, its hard to study because no one has the abilty to turn on and off colorblindness.
lol yes you are colorblind, never trust any of the **** on the internet it's bs. go to a doctor he will say the same thing. YOU ARE COLORBLIND. just consider yourself lucky you can still see colors
