I am getting 2 ferrets tomorrow and iv been reading up on them for a while and want to make their time in the cage while im not playing with them fun! As its getting rather cold and i read they love little blankets, i was going to make a little kind of quilty cushion type thing, basically with some nice soft fabric on the outside and lots of torn of fabric inside to make it cushiony.Would they like this?I am worried that they will pick at the stitching and it'll get stuck in their claws and their teeth! (1st timeer you see lol)Any other odeas for toys?I heard they LOVE smelly socks!!! lolI was thinking maybe a little small teddy that my son no longer plays with? any help given is really appreciated!!xxx

they love hammocks but I just hang an old long handled purse with an old T-shirt or 2 inside they love to climb in and snuggleI often find them curled up in my dresser, purse, pillowcase, etcI also pick up small cheap squeaky toys or stuffed animalsWe have daily activities such as water rescue- I throw some plastic toys into a sturdy bowl of water (one that won't tip) and my ferrets will save the toys (action figures work best)After a good snowfall I bring in a bowl full and they dig burrow and playI have a dryer hose that I wrap around furniture and they love to play in the tunnel I also bought the ball pit/tunnel set on-line and they play in that everyday-I move it and create different obstaclesFerrets will amuse themselves with anything they can find it is important to ferret-proof your home even if they are caged (mine are not caged) They always feel the need to investigate anything new, a box, bubble wrap, bagsMy 2 babies make me smile and laugh everyday enjoy them!
