A full exhaust system on a 250 is ridiculous. You're not riding a supersport, you're riding a learner bike. And an aftermarket air filter? You may be running lean, which you should get checked out. If you want noise just buy a slip on, because a full system will be a waste of money. Assuming you're a competent rider, just buy a 600. If you're not, don't worry about the bike and learn how to ride properly. You can buy a top of the line full exhaust, power commander, new gearing, etc etc and a stock 600 will still outrun you.
Looks to me like you bought the wrong bike. These bikes just came out and you are already looking for more power. You can spend $1000 and gain less than 5 horsepower. Why not sell this bike and buy something with a larger engine. This will give you more bang for your buck. All the loud exhaust is going to do for you is annoy your neighbors. Apparently you like to beat the crap out of this bike. So a muffler change is not going to have very much effect on mileage or the life of your bike. Beat the crap out of any mechanical thing and it does not last very long. But the loud exhaust does make a good cop caller. Sometimes stealth is better than making noise.
Thers no point on installing a full exhaust system on a 250. If anythng, just put on a exhaust slip. Preferabbly akrapovic. Anything you do to a 250, at the end of the day it's still a 250 and wont sound like a 600. It's a learners bike.
