Why do conservatives continue to pretend that the Iraq invasion was about chemical weapons? Do they not remember, or choose to not remember, that the reasons we were given for the Iraq invasion were that Saddam and Al-Qeada had links that led to 9-11, and that Saddam had a NUCLEAR program (not chemical)?Don't they remember Powell's presentation about quot;aluminum tubesquot; and quot;mobile launchersquot; and quot;uranium yellow cakequot;? Or Condi's line that quot;we don't want the smoking gun to be a mushroom cloudquot;?Yes, Saddam gassed the Kurds, but that was when George Bush was governor, not President, and had nothing to do with the Iraq invasion.So why are conservatives drawing parallels between the invasion of Iraq, and the potential missile strikes in Syria, when clearly none exist, at least in reality?
