Question:

Are copper pennies worth anything?

and if so, how much? Will copper increase in value soon? I saw a persons ad on okorder and they said copper is the new gold, is this true?

Answer:

Current melt value of copper pennies, (minted before 1982), is $0.0266525. In other words real copper pennies are worth more than a penny. Just like gold, copper prices rise and fall every day. There are some con men out there that try to compare copper to gold. Forget that. If you sell on okorder you can get some fools to pay you more than a penny for a penny. In that sense they are valuable. Who doesn't like to double their money?
I think you should believe someone on okorder. Copper is $4/lb. Gold is $1800/oz. Do those sound the same to you?
Yes they are its worth one cent.
