I have read on the Internet that taking Copper Supplements can be harmful if you take them for any length of time. Yet, I've also read that taking Colloidal Copper for extrented periods is ok....even if you take the same amount of milligrams. This makes no sense to me. Copper is copper.I'm talking just 3 milligrams a day...which is supposed to be well within the safe adult range of copper. Why would a pill be unsafe, but Colloidal copper be safe? Does it really make any difference? It seems to me that copper is copper no matter which form you use.
Copper is a metallic mineral and like other metallic minerals can have toxic effects in large doses. Colloidal silver can also, for example, turn your skin blue. Mineral intake should ideally be balanced with other minerals and vitamins unless you're treating a deficiency condition, and then the biggest question is what's causing the deficiency? Overdoing something on one end can tip the balance on the other end and cause different problems. Colloidal minerals are tiny fragments suspended in a liquid. They aren't safer and can be just as toxic in high doses, or when taken by someone who is more susceptible to problems for various reasons.
I AM IN AW! Thenoseknows has said something I agree with.
