I know they have started using led for backlighting in 2005, but I'm not sure how far they have come with the technology. I've been putting off getting a new monitor thinking leds will come out soon. And if they do, will the cost a fortune?Thanks
the new thing like that is OLED monitors (organic light emitting diodes) which don't need to be back lit and use less power.
