Any brand that you think reliable , having a response time 5ms, contrast ratio better than 1200:1 ,and good support will be great. Dont compromise on response time. i wud recommend Sony BEST BUY .VIEW SONIC(its a bit pricey but the best )

I sure would. I use an ACER 1916, and it's great for gaming, graphics, everything. Use the Manufacturers driver, though, you'll get more benefits! Also, they go on sale often, I got my 19 for 159, about a year ago!
Acer is a great brand. I never had a problem out of them. Of course they are man made so they aren't going to be perfect no matter what brand you get but a lot of computer companies like dell and hp use Acer and then just put their name on them.
