Question:

Are light particles matter?

I thought everything that had particles had matter? But this is confusing of course light doesn't have matter. But I thought their was a theory that said light particles had matter. I'd like to hear more on it. Thanks.

Answer:

light particle are not matter. they are made of photons, which are actually energy. this energy is what causes light, kinda like a light bulb.
Light particles or photons are generally considered to be point sources of energy, not matter. Any matter has mass. The only time photons have mass is when they're at rest, but under natural conditions they're never at rest.
