Question:

Are plastic bottle caps recyclable?

Are plastic bottle caps recyclable? Or should we just throw them away.

Answer:

In my area, plastic bottle caps are not recyclable, but it depends where you live because some places do recycle caps.
Depends on what plastic they are made of, they are recyclable. Don't throw them away. Recycle it along with the bottle. Be aware that volume wise the bottle has more value in recycling than the cap.
The myth that plastic bottle caps should not be put in the recycling bin is because the soda bottles should not be capped with the caps when thrown into the bin. A capped bottle is very resistant to crushing till the burst point of the plastic hence the steel rollers used to crush the recyclables wind up suddenly crashing together often damaging the rollers. Because of this, they tell you to remove the caps from the soda bottles, they never said that they could not be recycled or that you have to throw out the caps in the trash, all of that is just wild extrapolations by an ignorant public. All you have to do is uncap the bottle and throw both the bottle and the cap into the recycling bin.
Anything plastic can be reheated and reshaped so bottle caps are recyclable
im sure they are. i recycle them when i throw away my plastic bottles all the time
