Are there any Americans-Muslims that serve in the USA army and have a direct access to the nuclear weapons? If yes, than isn't it a big danger, because Muslims at any time can be instigated by their brothers by faith to use those weapons in the name of Allah.
My question is different. It's more about self protection. I do drink and I have been sleep walked when drinking. I have absolutely no recollection of these events when they happen. So I want a gun cabinet with a breathalyzer so it can't be opened if I'm over a set limit. The limit would be higher than a DUI limit, but I do not want to be able to get to a gun if I get some kind of crazy idea, p*^ed off or just start wandering around the house and having no flippin idea I ever did that.

purchase a miles less high priced radar gun or some thing that sounds like a radar gun. placed on an orange shape vest and stand via the fringe of the line and factor fake radar gun at on coming site visitors. commerce out with acquaintances and try this for the duration of intense site visitors situations for some days and cease. Wait each week or 2 and do it lower back. that's valuable.
Not technically feasible IMHO. Firearms are made to be transportable, under this plan the firearm would be a lot heavier (breathalyzer, battery pack, locking mechanism, etc). The locking parts would have to be built on to the gun to be effective .. otherwise a shooter could unlock the gun and just not reinstall the lock all that technology wasted! For handguns the idea would be even less feasible the holster is made to handle the firearm without a lot of extra add ons. In a self defense situation the gun owner might not want to give away their position to the bad guy. And just like the magic decoder ring lock idea the system could fail the user just when the owner of the gun really needs their firearm. Someone that does not know guns might think this would be workable but most gun owners know that it could not be done without compromising the use of the firearm. Society would get a much greater return per dollar invested by making sure that the people in society with mental disease are getting proper treatment for their conditions. A lot of people with mental illness are more likely than the average citizen to be the victims of crimes, sometimes violent crimes. Proper care and living assistance makes these especially vulnerable members of society less likely to be victimized. A minority of people with mental diseases are prone to violent behavior or are a danger to themselves or others in some way. Proper care for these individuals, possibly in-patient care at a mental health facility, would keep these people from victimizing others.
