I am making a small maglev (Magnetic Levitation) model train and need screws that I can use to screw the wooden track pieces together without interfering with the magnetic field. I‘m using incredible powerful rare earth magnets for the train car and the track. I can use plastic screws if necessary, but I‘m worried about the heads coming off and the plastic not being a very long term solution. Any ideas would be great. Thanks!

Just because something is metal does not mean it is magnetic. In addition to some of the other materials mentioned most stainless steels are non-magnetic.
