The attic in your area should have R-38, which equals 14 of blown in fiberglassLook in your phone book for an insulation contractorWhen I built my house 5 years ago, I found it was cheaper to hire them than to insulate myselfThey buy insulation by the boxcar load, so they get much better pricing than you or I would at a home centerHope this helps.
