I'm looking into carpeting a room and was wondering how much the carpet is. I will be installing it myself.
It depends on the type of carpet you buy as to the price. If you install it yourself, that will save you money. Look at Lowe's. They have carpet left over from putting it in houses, and you may find enough to fit your room. It is cheaper.
Square inch? Don't you mean square yard? That's 3 feet by 3 feet. Average cost is any where from 7 to 15 dollars per square yard, depending on quality.
Carpet is now priced by the s/f and all depends on the quality and type of carpet. You can buy it as low as 1$ a s/f if you get off the roll carpet.But and average, with some pad would be closer to 2/2.50 $ a s/f and up depending on style and type of carpet of course.
