well pretty much unless the recipe calls for some type of pan preparation, it would be fine to just cook it on a plain cookie sheetIt might stick a little bit, but it won't be too badI love parchment paper by the wayIt leaves the sheet completely clean with no scraping or scrubbing necessaryIf anything soaked through I just wipe it down Also it allows for quicker cooking because I prep the next batch on another piece of parchment while a batch is in the oven, quickly slip the newly finished cookies off and slip the new sheet on and back in the oven in less than 30 secondsIt is very convenient.
