Question:

Where to find a certain type of blanket?

I'm looking for a certain type of blanketI went to walmart and target and did not see oneI'm not sure what the type of blanket would be called but it is cotton and has a woven pattern to itSo I can see through it a little bitThere are two deffierent edges on itOne is flat the other is like the end was folded over and sewed in placeI can't seem to find it anywhere but I had one as a kid and loved itAny suggestions as to what type of blanket it is called or where I could find it would be great!

Answer:

Cold air always goes downMost cold air infiltration comes from aboveAdditional attic insulation usually helpsAny blow in will work and be cheaper than battsCellulose is cheaper than fiberglass but much dirtier to blow inYou can achieve proper r values with eitherCheck with your local lumber yard for proper thickness for your areaWNebris r-38 in atticIt will help some to insulate basement but will not reflect savings nearly as fast as attic insulationCold goes down You can glue bead board foam or high density foam board insulation to walls with 1 x 2' s or 2 x 4 's flat, glued and nailed to walls for wall covering installationThis is cheaper than building new 2 x 4 walllsHope this helps.
wait until Spring when the lighter weight blankets come outI think I have seem such a blanket at Bed, Bath BeyondYou might also look at Target.
