Is there any chance that I will get bed bugs in my bed?4) Do we get bed bugs in the apartments also or are they seen only in hotels or motels?Appreciate if any one answers all the above 4 questions. Thanks

Answer:

Bed bugs will show up in your home if you have recently traveled and stayed in an infested motel or hotel or if you have recently had company stay at your home that have brought them along. You will usually notice bites when you wake up in the morning. Check the mattress linens for blood marks or dark stains, these happen when you smash them as you are moving in the bed overnight, also check the mattress and bed spring for blood marks and stains from the bedbugs, sometimes you will also notice the bedbugs themselves if they are large enough. After a few feedings they will turn a dark red or deep brown and you can see them, they look kind of like ticks to me. They will also nest in the bed frames and wall coverings, dressers, trim boards, window frames, door frames, etc. Living in an apartment sometimes they can come from an infested neighboring apartment just like roaches and ants. I hope this answers you're questions. Big Al the Bugman
Bed bugs feed on dead skin cells that fall off while your sleeping. You should actually vacuum your bed every couple weeks for a month or two and then vacuum it at least once a month to help keep them away. Also change your sheets often, Like once a week or more. Bed bugs can show up anywhere, your home, apartment and hotels.
