Question:

whats the difference between a full bed and twin bed?

i have a twin bed and im getting a new one but wondering if the full bed will fit me and someone else if someone sleeps over? and whats the difference between them

Answer:

A full bed will fit two people it is about 2' wider than a twin. A twin will accommodate recreational activities but is a bit tight for sleeping two.
Here in the United States, the average twin mattress is 39 inches wide by 75 inches long, while the average full mattress is 54 inches wide by 75 inches long. The full mattress will give you an increase of fifteen inches in width, enough room for closely sharing sleeping space with another.
A full bed measures 54 inches wide and 75 inches long. The full bed is also called the double bed. It's designed to sleep two people, though it's just 15 inches wider than a twin. A single bed is also known as a twin bed. Its measurements are 39 inches by 75 inches. It sleeps one person. Some mattress retailers carry the XL twin, which is 5 inches longer than the standard.
