we have a fire extinguisher in the house that i just took out to clean. it's never been used, but we've had it for years i don't even know how long, but years and years for sure. when i took it out today to clean it, i noticed the little arrow was on 'empty,' so i'm wondering if it evaporates? i wouldn't think it does; that would be a fire hazard, but after years and years of sitting around i really don't know.we are getting a new one regardless, but we're unsure of whether to keep this one or not?
Get a small reflect and a flash light. See if there's any blockage within the flue or vent pipe. If clear the entire way up, take a look on the new work around the top of the chimmey. Did they modify the exterior of the chimmey at all? Is there some thing within the chimmey? Birds nest will reason this? Some chimmey's come with a backside damper and a top damper. Is it feasible they closed the highest damper with you figuring out it? If the backside damper is thoroughly opened and it takes a couple of minutes to return go into reverse the chimmey and into the room. Have the chimmey cleaned by means of a chimmey sweep. Maybe that you could get the condominium mgmt organization to pay for it.?

To my knowledge, the salute orginated during midevil times where knights had to raise the face shields on thier armor to identify himself to his king or kings representatives(officers). Never heard the part about losing a war though. Additionally, the salute is not only considered a sign of respect for senior officers, it is also a military greeting. Anyone in the military can salute anyone else. When I was in the Navy, I often saluted other enlisted sailors as a greeting. I would also salute senior enlisted (Master Chiefs etc) if I thought they deserved it. Although it was not mandatory.
