can bed bugs infest beds that have protective sheets??? also can one person in a whole family have bites, even if she sleeps with her husband
Yes bed bugs can infest beds with protective sheets, I was in a hotel when I went to Cyprus for summer vacations which the room we got had protective sheets. A few days later we all noticed we had small bites and we complained to the hotel manager. He looked and he found bed bugs. For your question now, if your at home and this has began a few days ago then there's nothing to worry about as they are probably mosquitos. Bed bugs come from when you buy used forniture or receive a shipment box (They can be inside since their smaller than 1/4). Now to answer your question, yes it is very possible that if you have bed bugs that one person in the whole family gets bitten. Well that's probably all, best regards!
Protective zippered covers need to be specifically tested to withstand bed bugs. Even small cracks near the zipper can be vulnerable to bed bugs. Even if they can't infest the bed, they can infest the bed frame, so the mattress and box spring covers are only part of a total room solution.
Although bed bugs got their name from living in (or in proximity) beds, they can get into other furniture, clothes, cracks between the hardwood floors, bed frames, wall cracks, electric outlet covers and various other places. I have personally seen them hiding in alarm clocks, toys, book... Pretty much everywhere you can imagine. As far as only you getting bit, that's not out of ordinary. Some people have severe reactions to bed bug bite and some people have none. It comes down to dermatological sensitivity.
