Just been looking at a whole bunch of different football gloves when I stumbled upon Cutter gloves. They seem pretty top notch so I'm just wondering what pair is the best for a wide receiver/corner/safety. If anyone's tried them for any of those positions I'd just like to hear your opinion. Ok you are correct that Cremellos and perlinos carry 2 cream genes. Cremellow is red based Perlenos are black based. Pally ONLY carry one cream if they had 2 then they would be cremellos same with buckskins. If they had 2 cream gens they would be perleno. So to your question. Yes if you bred a pally to a buckskin you could get a creamello and you could also get a perleno as the buckskin is black based. Also it would not matter if the pallys' sire was a creamello or not as he is pally and only carries one cream if he had 2 he too would be creamello and would have had to get the second cream from his dam. Get it if you can. Bay is black based. Perleno is black based. Creamello is red bassed so YES A PERLENO WOULD BE BLACK BASED. Could carry the agouti or not. You could add in modifiers such as smoky cream and such but the fact is that Perlenos are BLACK based. Until you have them tested there is NO Way by looking to tell if they carry a agouti or not so people refer to them as Perlenos. Saying a horse is smoky cream with out testing is and can be misleading and for these purposes you are just confusing the subject. As for what you will get when crossing a Pally to a Creamello. You can not get any black based foals so you are liminited too. Creamello or Pally. If you are looking to breed the creamello to a Buckskin then you will have to factor in if the Buckskin is Homozygous for Black or the agouti. So you can spout all the % you want but until you know all these factors it is really a crap shoot and would not worry about it. Just concentrate on what you can have some control over.
