I have a situation where there is a wood floor that is in a converted garageThe foundation is a combination of concrete and black topThe floor is made of 2x6's(spaced 16incenter to center) are on top of sleepers that run perpendicular to the 2x6'sSince the concrete/black top is not level, I have approximately 7 to 5 inches between the slab and the plywood to work withWhat is the best way to insulate this? Thanks for your time
I too often wonderedMy grandmother long since passed away was a 'Van Tassel' from Tarrytown NY and often heard about the Van Tassel family historyShe always alluded to more than the child's fable ever toldAs an adult I realize now that the times she spoke of must have been told to her when she was also a childI too would love to dig into the family tree.
most homes dont insulate between floors.we design the HVAC system to control the heat/ac so both levels r the same.if u r going to insulate between the floors.i would go with unfaced and leave a 1 air space between the top of the insulation and the sub floorlicgencontractor
