Question:

best way to clean copper?

I have a copper top bar that sat for a long time and it is heavly tarnished

Answer:

Organic seem to have a shorter life. But that's not surprising with how cheap they are right?
The answer in my opinion is yes. The semi metallic cause black brake dust .Whereas the ceramic pads don't,nether do the organic pads. The ceramic pads also have a higher fiction co-efficiency . Meaning they will stop better with less brake peddle pressure, and have less chance of brake squeal. However they don't last as long in my experience . If your shopping for price the semi metallic,or organic pads will work just fine , but if price is not an issue I like the ceramic pads better
Salt and vinegar works well. After that polish with car wax and it shouldn't tarnish so quickly.
Any mild acid such as citrus juice or vinegar will remove the green verdigris. Use Brasso, steel wool or toothpaste only if minor scratches in the finish do not matter. Tarn-X is a good chemical cleaner, but it has to be rinsed well after using.
