You should paper the walls in a black and white funky patterned wall paper, and get a nice big red, shaggy rug. It'll look awesome!
Dark tan walls, so it looks dimly litted and gives a very nice spot light on the dining table! :) A olive colored rug would be nice.

Your rooms can appear like a dungeon with each little thing so dark..i could think of a pair of tuscan yellow ... something no longer too dark or too mild... picking an analogous shade to this in a mid selection hue. Use the deep purple for accessory colorings on your artwork/centerpieces/glass bowl or vases/flowers.
