bloating and the pill?

hello everyonei was just wondering, can the birth control pill cause bloating and water retention?and if it does, can going from a low fiber diet to a high fiber diet make it worse?i'm on the pill, and i have overhauled my diet, and i am finding that i get blaoted whenever i eatany thoughts or suggestions?thanks in advance :)
