My BMW's alarm goes off after i unlock the door, only after i start the vehicle does the alarm eventually turns off. Any ideas what it could be?My back window broke somehow and the door doesn't lock or unlock automatically i have to pull the lock up. Any feed back is appreciated.

Clean it or get a new one. Your detectors are obviously defective or just dirty.
If the detector goes off when cooking you must ventilate that area. Open windows or get an exhaust fan to get rid of the cooking odors!!!!
Don't have a clear conception. But they both show similar properties and functionality.
Please make sure none of the detectors in the loop are combination smoke/ carbon monoxide. If this is the problem, call the fire department and have them sniff out the house for the CO2.
