Question:

Body Lift on a 1994 Nissan Pathfinder?

I‘m wanting to put a 3 body lift kit (or 2, if 3 is too difficult) in my 1994 Nissan Pathfinder - Automatic transmission, 4x4, headers, custom exhaust, and oil filter relocation kit. I would love to be able to lift my pathfinder a bit. I‘ve read that I would have to do some cutting and bending in order for my pathfinder to be able to shift into 4Lo. Something regarding the floor pan.? Has anyone installed a lift kit, before? If so, how difficult is it? My father and I have a small shop (welder, pipe bender, etc.). I have quite a bit of experience with my car (fabricated and installed dual exhaust, pace setter header install., oil filter relocation, and couple other goodies.) I don‘t want to injure my baby!! HahaI would really like the 3, but I will settle for the 2 lift if need be. Any suggestions?

That may just be genetics, I'm sure you're a very cute girl, learn to work the fuller face, it'll also help you as just as well as someone with chiseled bones.

Im not sure about your specific car, but speaking from the experience of my body lift (3 on an 04 silverado, manual) any thing that comes through the floor will be shorter for you and requires more room to move. When i put on my kit, i was worried id have to cut some of my floor out so i could shift, but luckily there was enough room. But im predicting there will be enough room for the lever to move. If not, you'll have to cut out a bit of the floor (and find a bigger boot to fit), also, make sure that you'll still be able to grab ahold of said lever once the body is lifted,
