Okay I went and saw my ortho today and I told his at my first appointment I wanted the metal ones cause they were cheaper. Well now he said I‘m getting the ceramic ones on top and the metal on the bottomwill that look odd? AND I don‘t have to pay any more then I have to, which is a bonus! I get them on next week!! Off to College in the fall, which I could have paid my tuition today, but I told myself I wanted braces before college so I saved up some money, I‘ll be tight for money for the first while, but it will definitely be worth it in the end $5800!! So why would he put both on my teeth?
i have metal braces on top and bottom so they look the same have seen ceramic on top and metal on bottom i dont like the way ceramic braces look but good luck with yours

I have ceramic on the top AND bottom and i paid/am still paying $4300 and with all the teeth extractions and all in total is about $4800. I think you're paying too much for JUST ceramic on top. It might look odd but its better than metal on both top and bottom. Your top teeth usually show more than the bottom ones anyways or is that just me? Anyways i think you should go for it esp if youre not being charged more!!
I have ceramic on top and metal on the bottom. The reason for this was that ceramic brackets are larger and aren't able to fit on everyone's bottom teeth. I would suggest going for both. You can bearly see them (ceramic) in pictures. Plus when I smile you don't see my bottom teeth so the metal ones didn't matter. P.S.
