i have been told that the metal work faster, but how much faster i keep changing my mind do the ceramic really stain that bad? im 21 and really don't want a mouth full of metal if i can avoid it.
Metal or ceramic, neither works faster than the other. Your teeth are being moved by slowly tightening the tension. They're not going to move any faster than the tension that is applied. Go for the ceramic if you're self-conscious about the metal. But beware of anything that might stain them, like coffee, cigarettes. They tend to turn an ugly yellowish brown. Not too nice to look at.
Has the orthodontist mentioned the possibility of Invisaligns? They are clear and can be taken off for short amounts of time (if need be). They feel weird at first, but you get used to them pretty quickly.
