Dell, Hewlett Packard (HP), Lenovo
Asus are doing some relatively good ones these days. Acer have been doing them for years. Dell make some of the best and worst, depending what you choose, HP do relatively standard ones, nothing exciting though. IBM sold off their laptop division to Lenovo, I believe, who are continuing pretty mauch the same way as before. LG and Samsung make laptops with nice numbers sadly let down by only average performance (fast CPUs and good marketing do not make up for cheap motherboards, memory, and peripherals - but they do look quite good).
