I noticed you conveniently left out this paragraph. Magdaleno's existence contrasts sharply with that of her younger siblings, who followed her to Los Angeles but then left. They have settled in Lexington, Ky., had no more than two children each and built better lives than they had known before. Four bought houses. Their children speak English fluently.
i read that article this morning, i have a few things to point out. 1. all of these children are citizens, so ten children get ADC, food stamps and medical. 2. that is on top of the $1600.00 tax free a month that the father gets. ( for those of you who are going to say he pays taxes, think again, even a citizen who has 9 children is tax exempt) 3. that is on top od the $700.00 a month social security payments they get. that is a lot of money. 4. they have been in this country for almost 30 years, they only way they have not picked up the English language is their refusal to do so. 5. how exactly, if your so dirt poor that you can't feed yourself, do you afford fertilization treatments? 6. and why would you have any more children? I have no pity for these people, they are not poor, they are raking in the money at tax payers expense, for shame!
I read that, and was totally shocked!! Can you imagine 10 kids in a 1 bedroom apartment? holy cow there ain't no way!!!! And you know what those 2 should have learned English along time ago .....that is just down right ridiculous!!! Here for 22 and 28 years and still can't speak English and are still illegal!! Saw that. Saw that 8 family members followed her and her sister, also illegally. Saw that the others left Los Angeles because illegal immigrants had driven the wages down so low and ruined the schools to the point where the other illegal immigrants characterized California as broken. Instead, they went into the interior of the country, to get away from all of that. But somehow when WE say it, it is a race issue.
