Question:

Broken Hatch lift bar.thing(?) on hatchback.?

Sorry, not very car savvy. I accidentally leaned too hard on one of the spring lift type bars that holds the hatch to my car up and now it‘s bent. I tried to bend it back, but it won‘t go back and the hatch will no longer close. Anyway, I‘ll have to get it repair/replaced, any ideas on how big a deal/ how much it will cost to get it fixed?

Answer:

were you drunk when you put that question on??
Why waste a great motor on a piece of Jap Crap.
go buy on at an auto parts store. around $20
Buy them at any auto parts store. They're about $20 each and all you need to install them is a small flat blade screwdriver and a socket set. They're simply called lifts--like hatch lift.
For people that are handy with tools they are not difficult to replace. find something to hold the hatch up (a rope tied around the front of the car has been known to be a mechanic's preferred method) and try to take the bent one off if you can you should have no problem with installing the replacement.
