Question:

burned rug?

How do you get a stain out of a rug that was put there from paper on fire. Only a part of the rug is burned.

Answer:

This is not a stain. The carpet piece has been burned away. Depending on how large the burn is, snip a piece or pieces of carpet from a corner of the carpeting and use a little glue and put the new piece(s) on top of glue. Don't try to rush this. Do it slowly, because you want to match the rest of the carpeting the best you can. When sniping the carpet pieces, only take the top portion. Good Luck
Try bleach. If not, it is singed and not stained. You will have to try to cut it out if it is singed or burnt.
well, you can't remove a burn, so you'll need to cut out that piece of the carpet and replace it with a piece that's not visable, like from the closet or from under a dresser or something. Then comb the fibers together back and forth to hide that it was replaced. You also might consider instead putting a decorative throw rug over it instead. Good luck!
This is a hard one. I think I would just burn the rest of it. just kidding. If you should have any of the old rug left over you could patch it. using some carpet tape. The burnt stain will not come out. I have a couple of cig. burns on my carpet that was there when I bought the house and it is there to stay. I have my sofa over it so it doesn't show. You may also try to rearrange your furniture and perhaps it will cover it. Of you could use an area rug over the area.
So is it a stain or a burn? If you had the same carpet sample, I would cut a square of the rug burn area and replace it with a patch. Then comb the fibers in to blend it in.
