Question:

Cable connector broke on back of TV. Is there any other way to hook up cable without it?

Hi, I got a Sharp 32R-S400 TV for free. I found out that it has a broken cable connector. I have an RF Modulator, a DVD player and rabbit ears. Please, if you can, walk me through exactly what I would need to do to get my TV working again. I don't know much about TV's so please be nice :)

Answer:

while reading a book, you're stimulating the human brain. You transform your reading and literacy skills and you in the process, become more literate. Even with today's modern technology, you should be able to read still. While you're watching t.v. can be good fun, it isn't doing anything to your brain.
I watch or read everythingI love learning new stuff.
Does the TV have a VGA or HDMI input, and does the DVD player have a matching output? If not, you can call a repair shop and see if they can fix the cable connector.
Without repairing the RF connector, you will need an alternate method of tuning the channels. You could obtain a box from your cable company or perhaps use a VCR that has a tuner. To connect them to TV get a set of S-Video or composite cables. If all you desire is to watch DVD player then all you need is a set of S-Video or composite cables. Rabbit ears don't work with Cable. RF Modulator won't help since you have no RF connection to feed it to.
