The problem lies with the wiper arms, not the blades. They are either not sitting square to the glass (twisted), or arent applying enough pressure.

why dint you just take them back and say they were defective? anywho it could be that theres something on the windshield itself so first thing is to get a good glass cleaner (i use aromorall glass cleaner (2-4 bucks at auto stores)) and clean the windshield.if that doesnt help then it could be the wiper arm is bent.that means you would have to bend it back to keep the wiper on the windshield.
Thanks for the information about RainX. I got my cars' oil change about a month ago. They check for everything, including windsheild wipers.My car is a 2009,and I have to check the wipers more often because the heat of the summer down where I live , makes the wiper blades break faster.
