Question:

can a cop open my locked glove box with out asking me?

i had the cops called on me and they asked to search my car. knowing my glove box was locked i said they could. during the search they opened my locked glove box. is that legal to do?

Answer:

It might overheat and melt some plastic parts, or it might burn up the motor, but it's not likely to hurt anybody. If this happened suddenly, instead of gradually, it's probably an obstruction in the air flow somewhere, or more likely something (rubber band, string) impeding the roller brush. Disassembly and thorough cleaning will probably fix it fine, considering it has had only light duty and limited use.
first off, dont press any buttons on the smoke detector. its normal. if there was any problems your keypad would be telling you.
