I'd probably use 9 mm or 10 mm needles with super-bulky yarn, but that does not mean that you shouldUse the needles that give you a fabric you like! If you cast on 24 stitches and knit 20 rows, you will know if you like the fabric or notIf not, ravel it out and wait for bigger needlesBut if you do-keep knitting! You're on your way to a scarf!
