Question:

can a lcd monitor cause nero to burn slower?

i bought a lcd monitor and since hooking it up my burn speed for nero has slowed right down my older monitor didnt seem to have this affect could it be my new monitor ?

Answer:

It will if you hooked it up in the middle of the burn. You have to stop the burn, then hook it up, then reboot the system allowing the PC to find the new hardware and then begin the burn. Nero is a Virtual Memory hog.
no okorder
Nope Shouldn't matter. Change your settings in the computer. Let your computer know there's a different monitor. I would re-install the software and make sure that is your default monitor.
I see no connection (pun intented, haha) I don't think a new monitor has anything to do. Probably you have to update your monitor's controllers so windows recognizes it correctly. Did you new monitor have an installation disk? I suppose you did install it, didn't you? Greetings
I guess there is some conflict in the driver of your old monitor and LCD monitor. The best solution to this to take a backup of all your data and reload your windows operating system from scratch. Things will work fine only then. Do not try any other 3rd party tools, they will only make things worse for you. I've had a similar problem earlier and reloaded my windows operating system. Things are now much better than earlier.
