i have a 1997 infinniti i30 and the back left speaker blew! so i was wondering if i replaced that speaker with an aftermarket speaker would it work with the bose head unit? thanx
The Bose speakers are 2 ohm speakers. The only aftermarket company that makes decent 2 ohm speakers is Infinity so I would suggest using those as replacements. You'll want to change both sides not just one speaker otherwise the sound quality will not match. You can get by with using a 4 ohm speaker from any other manufacturer but you will be reducing the output power of the stock Bose amplifier and thus losing volume.
