I think it's pretty good. Very interesting I must say lol. Well, there are a few things you could probably do to improve it. Well first off, when you start the story, you say it in the past tense with were nothing had happened since 1947 then you start in the present tense with am driving down Main Street and you carry the rest of the story on in present tense. I know it's hard but try to stay on one time. Past, or present. This may sound weird, but it'll sound better. Also I think you should make it more dramatic. It's too informative. It should be a little more exciting, and suspenseful. I'm not trying to offend you or anything, I think your paper was very good. I'm just offering my opinion. )
