Question:

Can cell phone interference damage PC speakers?

high quality powered speakers with amplifierthe noise is subtle

Answer:

The cell phone signals can cause interference noise in your computer speakers, but it won't do permanent damage to them. If you have noise in the speakers caused from the cell phone, try moving the phone to different locations. Also make sure your speakers are plugged into a grounded 110 volt outlet, and a surge protector would help too. Around my house I get speaker noise in one computer (cheap speakers) from the ambulances going by.
hearing damage shouldn't occur up to 120db, and i seriously doubt your phone has that volume capability even kiss didn't reach that in concert until recently.
