You should generally try to remove any matter before it has a chance to set. Lay the glue-stained fabric on a flat work surface. Place the edge of a credit card under the edge of the dried glue. Slowly, pry off the dried glue, scraping up a little bit at a time so you don't tear the fabric. 2 Saturate a clean cloth with nail polish remover. Blot at the dried glue cement residue with the nail polish remover, working from the outside of the stain in toward the middle. Apply more nail polish remover to your clean cloth, as needed, and continue to blot to loosen and lift the glue residue. 3 Rinsing with water often helps with stain removal. Rinse the site of the dried glue cement stain with cool water to flush out the nail polish remover and glue residue. 4 Cover any remaining glue residue with prewash stain remover. Work the stain remover into the fabric's fibers by rubbing the fabric together. Leave the stain remover on the glue-stained fabric for 20 minutes. 5 Wash your fabric in the hottest water allowed, according to the directions. Wash with laundry detergent and then check the fabric to make sure all glue residue has been removed prior to placing the fabric in the dryer.
You need to remove the cement while it's dry before washing. Hit the area with a hammer to break up the cement. Then vacuum. Brush the area with a stiff scrub brush. Vacuum again and maybe use a lint roller. After you've removed the cement, THEN wash the clothes. Good luck. -
