I'm rather new to Linux. I installed Fedora core 8, and with it came GRUB loader. Currently, to access GRUB loader and use Windows, I have to hit F8 during startup, as if I wanted to go into safe mode on XP.Is there a way to configure it to prompt me every time I start my computer, instead of automatically loading Fedora? If so, how? Thanks,Richard
change the grub loader timeout edit /boot/grub/menu.lst with your favourite editor and change timeout to something like 30 seconds. It should then list the operating systems which to boot from...
i think of of you will possibly have the skill to might prefer to uninstall grub and reinstall abode homestead windows boot loader and it is going to artwork even in spite of the undeniable fact that the least confusing way is to regulate the abode homestead windows boot loader. For that save on with those steps: open a cmd window kind in msconfig w/o the quotations. under boot Delete the mint selection. this way, after 30 2d that grub plenty up, the abode homestead windows will load (in case you do now no longer % something in grub) and the abode homestead windows boot loader won't ask you which ones one you pass with.
