Question:

Can I blow in insulation into walls where there is batts already?

So the exterior walls of this 1959 built home are quite coldWas going to blow in cellulose insulation and when I went to cut holes I could see there was paper sided batts already in thereI've cut holes at two different areas and it's the same storyThey're obviously not effective as well as they should have beenThey seem quot;crushedquot; up against one wallAlso I can't see what the r-value was on itSo my question isShould I even bother to blow in insulation in the walls? And if so how effective will it reach everywhere if the batt is partially in the way.

Answer:

They are bike frames and I Googled it and found many references
Probably will not bee too effectiveThe bats will hinder the needed spread of the blown insulation.
